The most common replacement path is a direct-vent gas insert into an existing masonry fireplace. The old firebox stays in place; we install the new insert with a stainless liner, gas line, and surround. Other options include full wood-to-gas conversions, gas-to-electric conversions for sealed rooms, and full demolition-and-rebuild for major renovations. Each path has different cost, timeline, and complexity profiles — we’ll walk you through them.

Replacement projects start with a thorough evaluation of the existing system, including a Level 2 chimney inspection if applicable. We then quote the new unit, surround changes, and any masonry work needed. Most replacements complete in one to three working days for inserts, longer for full rebuilds. We coordinate any required permits and inspections.
